Dr Chaudhary was able to explain my procedure in a way I could understand, he answered my questions in a patient matter ensuring I was fully informed. He put me at my ease & I had full confidence in him & his ability even after he explained all that could go wrong. I was very happy to put myself in his care. After the operation he came to see me & explained it was a success & to ask me how I felt & continued to check on my progress in the following days. I hope I see him for my follow-up so he can see what a good job he has done. I can t think of any improvements to suggest as I am completely happy with the care I have received from all the hospital staff.

I have never used private medicine before, but when my spinal stenosis - for treatment of which I had been put on an NHS waiting list - deteriorated further, I was persuaded to go for a consultation with Dr. Roy Chaudhary. He saw me within 4 days of first contact with his secretary , and spent an hour asking questions, and really listening to the answers. He had already obtained the NHS MRI scan I had had some months earlier from the JR Spinal Unit, and explained that I needed an operation as soon as possible. He offered a date less than 3 weeks' later , and then gave us plenty of time to ask our own questions. I went ahead, and the whole experience with him and his anaesthetist, Graham, could not have been made any less daunting. They were both delightful people who clearly loved their highly-skilled professions, and were happy to spell out any possible side- effects, while also instilling a sense of reassurance and trust. My surgery went smoothly, and the immediate result - absence of the dreadful sciatic pain and numbness - totally disappeared! 16 weeks on, I continue with exercises to help some wobbliness and lower back ache, but the improvement has been nothing short of miraculous!! After the surgery, both Roy and Graham came to see me the 2 days I stayed in, and again explained and listened. So yes, I and my family have nothing but gratitude and praise for Roy, his skill, his enthusiasm, and for being such a nice person! Thank you, Roy!!

Mr Chaudhary very quickly put me at ease and listened to everything intently. He quickly made me feel like he knew what was happening and what to do next, explaining what would and could happen and I always felt he put me first. I would highly recommend him.

Mr Chaudhary (supported by a stellar team, including Medical Secretary, Mandy Troth ) was terrific, assiduous and unhurried at every point in the end-to-end patient experience, by blending outstanding communication and empathy with highly specialist knowledge, skills, and experience. I experienced this in every consultation and interaction, including - diagnosis and interpretation of imaging results; - discussion of treatment/monitoring options; - further detailed discussion of surgery options; - pre-surgery preparation; - post-surgery care and attention to clinical detail. Furthermore, I was impressed by the extent to which Mr Chaudhary engaged with and communicated with family members, assuaging their concerns, and ensuring that they felt reassured, well-informed, and able to support me pre/post surgery optimally. I would not hesitate to recommend Mr Chaudhary in the highest possible terms to any individual requiring the expertise of a neurosurgeon, and especially (in my case) surgery to remove an intra-dural tumour.
